Project Lead the Way (PLTW).

Bridgeway Christian Academy is excited to announce that we will be offering TWO Project Lead The Way courses for the 2017.2018 school year.  Project Lead The Way is the countries’ foremost provider of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programs. Project Lead The Way has been helping students cultivate skills that they will need to be successful in a global economy by providing hands-on, real-world activities, projects, and problems that help students understand how the knowledge and skills they develop in the classroom may be applied to everyday life.  BCA will be offering a Design and Modeling and Robotics course.

Design and Modeling

In this course students discover the design process and develop an understanding of the influence of creativity and innovation in their lives. They are then challenged and empowered to use and apply what they’ve learned throughout the unit to design a therapeutic toy for a child who has cerebral palsy.

Automation and Robotics

In this course students learn about the history and impact of automation and robotics as they explore mechanical systems, energy transfer, machine automation, and computer control systems. Using the VEX Robotics® platform, students apply what they know to design and program traffic lights, robotic arms, and more!
