Preschool Teacher Bios.

Mrs. Michelle Smith – Pre-3 Lead Teacher

Michelle Smith graduated from Shorter College in Rome GA with a Middle Grades Education degree. During her 14 year teaching career she has taught 4th-8th grades.  Mrs. Smith has also coached cheerleaders grades K-12th.  She started her time at Bridgeway in 2000 and then took some time off to stay home with her 3 children.  Mrs. Smith returned to BCA in 2011 working as K3 Assistant & running the AfterCare program.  She is married to Ron Smith, an Senior IT Business manager at AT&T.  They attend North Point Community Church and are small group leaders. Mrs. Smith’s children are all Bridgeway students.

Mrs. Gail White – Pre-4 Lead Teacher

Mrs. White has been teaching for over 20 years, and has been at Bridgeway for 15 of them. In addition to earning an AA Degree from the University of Central Florida, she has acquired numerous Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) from ACSI and The Georgia Preschool Association. She is also certified in CPR and First Aid.

Mrs. White cherishes the many wonderful relationships she has been blessed with through her association with Bridgeway families and staff members. “I can always count on my Bridgeway family to support me and pray with me. Through the years, my students have taught me many things. Most importantly, I’ve been privileged to see, first hand, what it means to have the faith of a child. Nothing can compare to the joy of a child who is learning about Jesus for the very first time.” When she isn’t teaching, Mrs. White enjoys kayaking and volunteering as a chef’s assistant at a local cooking school.

Mrs. Cheri Hunt – Preschool Assistant

Mrs. Hunt graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tennessee and worked as a chemical engineer for 11 years. Having been a BCA parent for the past 11 years, Mrs. Hunt became a member of the BCA faculty as a teaching assistant four years ago. Mrs. Hunt has enjoyed seeing, first hand, how much the teachers at Bridgeway really love teaching and love their students. “This is especially important to me since I have a son who graduated from and a daughter currently attending Bridgeway.” In her free time, Mrs. Hunt enjoys scrapbooking and spending time with her family.
