Lower School Teacher Bios.

Mrs. Pam TiedemannKindergarten

Ms. T has been teaching for many years and we are blessed to have her at BCA.  It is very common to find her dressed in a fun costume or hat but do not let that fool you, she means serious business when it comes to academics and preparing her students.  When she is not here showering students with love, she is helping out with our volleyball team, teaching dance or spending time with her two daughters.

Mrs Angie RowandKindergarten Assistant  

This is Mrs. Rowand’s first year at BCA but her third year as a teaching assistant. Previously she assisted in Pre3 and Pre4 classes at Alpharetta Christian Academy.  We are excited to have her join us as our Kindergarten assistant along side Ms. T.  Mrs. Rowand and her husband of 21 years have a 3rd grader and 6th grader at BCA and have been attending North Point Community Church since moving to Atlanta 14 years ago.

Mrs. Gail ClarkFirst Grade

Mrs. Clark has been teaching for over 30 years and has been at BCA for 12 years. She earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from Baptist Bible College, and a Masters in Education from the Eastern University in St. Davids,  Pennsylvania. She has a lifetime certification from A.C.S.I. She is a certified Foundations and Frameworks Reading Program and Architecture of Learning trainer.

Mrs. Clark is a regular presenter at the ACSI Early Educator’s Conference in various areas including literacy, phonemic awareness, and math. Mrs. Clark most enjoys teaching alongside, not only great teachers, but wonderful friends. “We can laugh together, cry together and most importantly PRAY together. While I am constantly learning from my students, I think the greatest thing they continue to teach me every day is to have childlike faith.”   Mrs. Clark also enjoys, quilting, crafting, biking, and camping.

Mrs. Tiffany BuckSecond Grade

A graduate of the University of Valley Forge, Mrs. Buck earned a bachelor of science in Elementary Education, and is state certified through the State of Georgia and ACSI to teach preschool – 5th grades. Prior to her three years at BCA, Mrs. Buck taught two years of preschool and was the lead teacher for a toddler class and an aftercare program. Mrs. Buck and her husband, Skyler, are the Children’s Directors at Eastgate Church and also serve in the youth ministry. When she isn’t teaching, Mrs. Buck enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, and making home decor.

Mrs. Lisa BroylesThird Grade

Mrs. Broyles earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from Grace College and is certified by the state of Georgia and ACSI. With over 29 years of teaching experience, Mrs. Broyles says what she has enjoyed most about her fourteen years at BCA is the family atmosphere and the genuine care and concern shown for others. “I love that we put Christ first in all we do.”  What has Mrs. Broyles learned from her students at BCA? “My students help me remember that God has made all of us unique and special. We are all loved for exactly who we are.”

Mrs. Pam GilchristFourth Grade

With more than 12 years of experience, Mrs. Pam Gilchrist joined BCA four years ago as the fourth grade teacher.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Illinois, and a Master of Arts in Education from National-Louis University in Chicago. She is Georgia State certified, and has been a Georgia Odyssey of the Mind Coach. Having taught grades first through fifth in Chicago and Prescott, Arizona, Mrs. Gilchrist loves to make learning fun as well as openly worshiping and praying to God with her students at BCA.

Mrs. Gilchrist has been married to her husband Joe for 21 years.  They have a son, Jack, in the United States Coast Guard and a daughter, Annie, a junior in high school.

Mrs. Julie FittonFifth Grade

Mrs. Fitton earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Florida Atlanta University and a Master of Education in Teaching and Learning from Liberty University. She is also certified by the state of Georgia and has previously taught 2nd and 3rdgrade.  Mrs. Fitton and her family attend Browns Bridge Church and all 3 of her children attend BCA.

Mr. Dennis Clark P.E.

Coach Clark first joined BCA ten years ago as the instructor for the BCA chapter of the Jumping for Jesus International Club, a ministry he founded to increase children’s level of physical fitness while teaching them God’s Word. This is eighth year as BCA’s lower school P.E. teacher.

With over 20 years of elementary physical education experience, Coach Clark also served as a college athletic director for four years at Christ for the Nations and Beulla Heights University . He earned a B.A. in Physical Education from Lenoir Rhyne University and a M.A. in Biblical Education from Evangelical Theological Seminary. The author of Exciting Elementary Physical Education Games and Guidelines, Coach Clark served as an instructor at the ACSI Physical Education Conference in Dallas, Texas.

Coach Clark loves working at a Christian school, and being part of a team that strives to make BCA a school of excellence. “Since I’ve been at BCA, I’ve learned that every student has great potential spiritually, academically, and physically. It’s an honor and a great responsibility to work with children.” In his free time, Coach Clark enjoys bike riding, camping, nature walks and reading scripture. “God has helped me read through the Bible for 33 years in a row.”

Mrs. Cathy WalkerArrowsmith

Mrs. Walker is beginning her 16th year teaching and her 14th year here at BCA. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing/Finance from the University of Oklahoma.  She was a Technical Recruiter for Lucent Technologies and Cisco for 9 years before joining the BCA family. Being part of BCA has been rewarding both spiritually and for her relationship and friendships with students and their families. She enjoys gardening, decorating, and spending time with her family. She has been married for 25 years to her husband, Stephen.  They have two children in college, Avery and Alex, who both attended BCA.
