School News
We are less than a week away from our 2018-19 Annual Fund Pledge Day which is Monday, October 1st. If you have already sent in your pledge for this year’s campaign, thank you! If you have not, there is still time, and we want 100% participation. To pledge and to partner with us as we equip students to know, grow and go, click here.  Our Annual Fund along with our Lion’s Fundraiser and Ga Goal were all discussed at Vision Night. If you were unable to attend but want to learn more, click here for an informative video.

Today students and staff gathered around the flagpole to pray over some important areas and people in our lives.  We covered our school, our staff, our country and its leaders and more in prayer. The global theme this year for SYATP is “Broken.”  To learn more and to read a compelling article click here.

The BCA spirit wear store is open once again for your purchasing pleasure! Click here to view and purchase items. Orders will close on Tuesday, October 9th and orders placed with the vendor on October 10th.

Quarter 2 Friday Finale and Chess Club will be starting soon. To see the classes offered this quarter and sign-up instructions for Friday Finale click here. To sign up for Chess Club click here.

If you are out and about this Saturday, stop by our booth at the Alpharetta Scarecrow Harvest Festival.  Mrs. Thurman, Mrs. Stewart, and our talented students created Ms. Potts and her son Luke which is on display on Milton Avenue.  The winner of the scarecrow competition will be announced at the Festival on Saturday.

We have several Parent Preview Days coming up in October and November.  Parent Preview days are great opportunities for potential BCA families to come and have the “BCA experience.”  If you know someone who may be looking for a new school home,  share this information with them. You can come with them or just let them know when they take place, and we will do the rest. They can RSVP for a date by clicking here.

Our Parents in Prayer group meets every Monday morning at 8:15 am. Please join us for a brief time of intentional prayer for our students, staff and our community.

Publix is no longer accepting school cards for scanning as of October 1st, but we can still earn money for BCA by shopping there.  To set up a Publix account, click here. You will have to choose BCA as “My Publix Partner” on the My Account page. The bonus is that you can also assign digital coupons to your account and get credit for everything when you enter your phone number at checkout.  We collect Box Tops!  Every Box Top is worth ten cents. It does not sound like a lot, but they all add up!  You can drop them off at the front desk.  There is also the Bonus Box Tops App. There are deals every month, or so that give you extra box tops digitally if you take a pic of your receipt and send it in through the app.

You may have heard, but this year we are celebrating BCA’s 20th anniversary on November 18th. Mark your calendars and plan to attend this wonderful event where we get the opportunity to give glory to God and celebrate His faithfulness to BCA for 20 years of providing Christ-centered education.  We are excited to have many BCA alum come back to visit.  We also want the opportunity to highlight our BCA alum on our website and in the Lion’s Roar. If you know of some “alumni news”, please share it with us by emailing Melissa Hayes (mhayes@bridgewayca.org).

Partners in Education

BCA is blessed to have the opportunity to connect with some fantastic corporations. We would like to say THANK YOU to our current Partners in Education.
Partners IEducation connects local businesses with Bridgeway Christian Academy through financial support, gifts in kind, and GA Goal corporate donations.  Being a Partner in Education gives companies a unique experience that helps our team of teachers, faculty, and staff continue to provide environments where our students can grow in wisdom, stature, and in favor with God and man!
For any questions regarding Partners in Education, please contact Seritha Stewart at sstewart@bridgewayca.org
