School News

Thank you to everyone who came to the PTF Kickoff meeting this past Monday.  We had a great turnout and are excited about working alongside many of you for some fun events this year.  If you were unable to attend but want to be involved, do not fret – YOU CAN!  Email our PTF co-chairs Brittany Camak (brittany.camak@gmail.com) and Morgan Van Gelder (morganvangelder@gmail.com) and they will point you in the right direction.

National Box Top Week Competition
Next week our classrooms will be going head to head to see who can bring in the most Box Tops.   Students need to bring in their clipped box tops and turn them in to their teacher – middle school students will put in their assigned R3 box. On Friday, the box tops will be counted and the winner will be announced at the BCA Family Dinner and Vision Night on Sunday, October 1st.

BCA Family Dinner & Vision Night
Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 1st and plan to attend our annual BCA Family Dinner & Vision Night.  It is going to be a wonderful time of fellowship and community.  The festivities start at 4:30pm. A delicious BBQ dinner will be served at 5pm followed by the Vision Night presentation.  RSVP’s are greatly appreciated – click here.

Morning Drop-off and Late Start
The morning carpool starts at 7:35am each day with the exception of Wednesday which is late start day. On late start day the carpool starts at 8:35am.  If you are dropping off between 7:35am and 8:35am on Wednesday mornings we ask that you walk them into the Media Center.  We also ask that parents not enter the educational wing in the 25 minutes prior to school starting unless you have an appointment with a teacher or administrator.  If you do have a meeting, please check in at the front desk prior to entering the educational wing.

Yes, we are already starting to get to work on this year’s yearbook but we need your help!  Send in your pictures. You can either upload them to the ReplayIt app (school: Bridgeway Christian Academy; password: lions16) or email them to Melissa Hayes (mhayes@bridgewayca.org).

Fall Fun
Your students will be bringing home a ticket to the Duluth Fall Festival starting on September 28th.  This is always a fun event to kick off the fall festivities. If you plan to attend make sure to represent BCA by having your kids wear a spirit wear tshirt. Also, check out our scarecrows at the Scarecrow Harvest in Alpharetta.  Make sure to take some pics while you are there and tag Bridgeway Christian Academy and use the hashtag #BCAoutandabout

Don’t forget you can still receive a FREE custom BCA Yeti by claiming the Georgia Goal 2018 tax credit. Contact Joy Hodges at jhodges@bridgewayca.org for details.
