School News

There are less than 20 days of school left but who is counting!  We have had a busy few days so let’s start at the beginning. Last Friday afternoon, our boys’ soccer team played a fantastic game to win the NAML championship.  Congrats boys, Coach Velez and Coach Watanabe!  On Sunday night, many of the BCA family joined together for the Final Fiesta. The weather was perfect, the food was amazing, and the fellowship was outstanding.  Thanks to our PTF for putting together another wonderful event.  We do have a few auction items still available. Please refer to the email sent out yesterday for a list of items. On Tuesday morning, BCA ventured to The Avalon to participate in Little Acorns.  If you missed out, do not worry. We will be back in August. Also on Tuesday, our third grade students went to the home of Theodore Roosevelt’s mom, referred to as Bulloch Hall. Then they took in the sights at Roswell Mill.

Please be in prayer for our Middle School students and chaperones this week. Our 8th graders left Tuesday morning for DC where they will visit many places on their trip.  Yesterday they visited the National Archives, Ford’s Theater and the WWII Memorial.  Today they will go to Capitol Hill, the Library of Congress and the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial among many others. Our 6th and 7th grade students left this morning for an overnight trip.  They will stop first at the Tellus Museum and then head to Chattanooga where they will visit the Aquarium, Rock City and then Ruby Falls.  We hope they all have a fastastic time! Stay tuned to our social media outlets for updates on their trips.

Things are out of this world today as many of our students (and staff) wore their Star Wars themed attire for our Dress for $2 – may the 4th (or 2nd) be with you. Yoda, Rey, Leia, Chewbacca and even Darth Vader were on the BCA campus today. Let’s just say the force was definitely with us.

National Day of Prayer – Thursday, May 3rd
What a privilege it is to be able to pray openly to our great Savior! Our 4th grade class has worked hard to put together a special chapel for “National Day of Prayer.”  They have written special prayers for seven specific areas which include Education, Military, Media, Business, Government, Churches and Family. Join us tomorrow morning at 8:15 am in the Worship Center for an intentional time of prayer.

Lower School Chapel
This month our lower school students are honesty – choosing to be truthful in whatever you say and do.  The goal is to help kids understand the importance of honesty in what they say as well as honesty in their actions.
