School News

A few quick reminders before we head out to Spring Break:

  • The first chess club of the 4th quarter starts today for those who have signed up.
  • Thursday will be a jeans and BCA spirit or christian t-shirt day.
  • There is no Friday Finale this week and there is a school-wide early release on Friday.  Aftercare is available until 6 pm if needed. Please email aftercare@bridgewayca.org if your child plans to attend so that we can plan accordingly.
  • Join us for Good Friday chapel at 11 am.  We are excited to have Lee Jenkins, the Founder and Lead Pastor of Eagles Nest Church lead us in a time of worship.  Students need to wear their DRESS UNIFORMS on Friday.

Stuart Little
Congrats and thank you to Mrs. Kilbride and our Performing Arts students for an amazing job on Stuart Little this past weekend.  Thank you to many of our parent volunteers who helped with props, set design and building, photo board and more. It was truly a fun, family friendly event.

Lower School Track Meet
Our 3rd – 6th graders have the opportunity to participate in the Perimeter Track Meet on Friday, May 4th.  If you would like your child to participate, please click here to sign up by Friday, March 30th.  Students opting not to participate will stay at school with their teacher.  Sixth graders do not have school that Friday because they will be coming back from a field trip the day before.

ITBS Testing
Our 1st through 8th grade students will be taking the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS), the week of April 9th.  Please ensure that your child arrives on time for school, gets a good night’s sleep and eats a healthy breakfast.  Please pray for our students as they prepare to take this standardized test.  Pray that they would not be anxious and that they would be confident in what they know and have learned.  Remind your sweet children that this test while it is important and needs to be taken seriously, does not define them but that their identity is in Him and He loves them so much!!

Field Day Date Change
We have changed the date of both mini and lower school field day to Thursday, April 12th. Please note the change on your calendar and information regarding times, volunteer opportunities, etc. will be sent home soon.

Parent Preview Days
We have added another Parent Preview day to the calendar for Tuesday, April 17th at 9:30 am.  We say it all the time, but our families are truly our best marketing tool and we want to make sure you know how much we appreciate you sharing with others about BCA.  Click here to find out more about our BCA Bucks referral program.

Parents in Prayer
Please join us for Parents in Prayer every Thursday morning at 7:35 am. Over the course of this year, the group will pray for every student and staff member at BCA.  We would love to have you!

Open Arms Parking
Just a reminder that Open Arms has asked us not to use their property as a drop-off or pick-up for our students. All students in 1st-5th grade need to use the main carpool drop-off and come in the front entrance in the morning. The only exception is if a student has a Pre3, Pre4, or K5 sibling. We want to be respectful of their property and what they have asked of us.

CYT’s Mary Poppins
Fourth grader, Ana Campos Seixas and fifth grader, Ashley Caldwell, will both be performing in CYT’s upcoming performance of “Mary Poppins” on Saturday, April 28th.  You can earn BCA money by visiting cyatlanta.com and use the coupon code SPIRITDAY.  At checkout be sure to mention Bridgeway Christian Academy in the comment section so that BCA gets credit for your purchase.

Re-enrollment for 2018.2019
Applications for the 2018.2019 school year are starting to roll in and we are excited about the potential new families the Lord is bringing to BCA.  It is not too late to re-enroll and reserve your student’s spot for the next school year.  Please log into your renweb account to complete the re-enrollment packet.

Last Week of School
The last week of school is always a crazy one.  In order to help us all stay organized, we have put together a “Schedule of Events” for the last week of school.

Volleyball Clinics – Second through 5th Grade
Volley Performance is going to be offering several volleyball clinics here at BCA starting in a few weeks. If you have a child that is interested, click here for more details
