School News

Happy October BCA family! Our kids are so bright WE needed to wear shades today.  Students were all decked out in their NEON for October’s Dress for $2 Neon day.

Thank you to everyone who pledged to this year’s Annual Fund. We are pleased to say that we are well over the halfway point to 100% participation.  If you still want the opportunity to “Partner with BCA” but have not pledged yet, you can do so by clicking here.

We are looking forward to kicking off our annual PTF Lion’s fundraiser on Wednesday, 10/10/18.  The upcoming long weekend is a great time to start gathering your 10+ emails of family and friends and snap a cute photo of your child(ren) which you will need to personalize your fundraising letters!  More information to follow after the break.

We had a great time at the Scarecrow Harvest in downtown Alpharetta on Saturday. Thanks to those who volunteered. We did close to 300 crafts with people who visited our table. Congrats to the Doster family who won the scarecrow social media contest.

Congrats to our girls’ 7th grade volleyball team for taking second place in the NAML championship.  They had an awesome season and played outstanding.  Way to go Lady Lions! Our boys’ soccer team head to Eastside today to play in the NAML championship game at 4 pm.  Let’s go boys!

The BCA spirit wear store is back open! Click here to view and purchase items. Orders will close on Tuesday, October 9th and placed with the vendor on October 10th.

Quarter 2 Friday Finale and Chess Club will be starting soon!  We have a few new class options including Chinese and Worship Dance.  To learn more to see other classes offered this quarter click here. To sign up for Chess Club click here.

We have several events coming up and would love to have a helping hand!  If you are interested, please click here.  For our upcoming events, we are decorating our “mini” BCA in accordance with the seasons.  If you have any Fall or Christmas outdoor decorations that you would like to donate, please click here to see a list of the items needed.  If you have any questions regarding these events, please contact Seritha Stewart at sstewart@bridgewayca.org.

Our 8th graders are selling poinsettias to raise money for their Washington D.C. trip in the spring.  These poinsettias are grown locally and come from a high quality florist.  Ordered poinsettias will be delivered the first week of December – just in time to decorate for Christmas.  They can be purchased in red or white in 6-inch or 8-inch pots.  Stop by the front desk to order or see an 8th grade student.

A week from Thursday, we have our first of four Parent Preview Days.  Parent Preview days are great opportunities for potential BCA families to come and have the “BCA experience.”  If you know someone who may be looking for a new school home,  share this information with them. You can come with them or just let them know when they take place, and we will do the rest. They can RSVP for a date by clicking here.

20th Celebration/Alumni News

Brandon graduated from BCA in 2017. He has been involved with Boy Scouts since he was a six year old Tiger Cub Scout and recently achieved the Boy Scout “Life” rank in Troop 1459 – this is the final rank before pursuing his Eagle rank.  Brandon now begins planning his Eagle Project, scheduled for spring of 2019.  In addition, Brandon is in his second year playing trumpet in the Cambridge High School Marching Band.  Way to go Brandon!

You may have heard, but this year we are celebrating BCA’s 20th anniversary on November 18th. Mark your calendars and plan to attend this wonderful event where we get the opportunity to give glory to God and celebrate His faithfulness to BCA for 20 years of providing Christ-centered education.  We are excited to have many BCA alum come back to visit.  We also want the opportunity to highlight our BCA alum on our website and in the Lion’s Roar. If you know of some “alumni news”, please share it with us by emailing Melissa Hayes (mhayes@bridgewayca.org).

Partners in Education

BCA is blessed to have the opportunity to connect with some fantastic corporations. We would like to say THANK YOU to our current Partners in Education.
Partners IEducation connects local businesses with Bridgeway Christian Academy through financial support, gifts in kind, and GA Goal corporate donations.  Being a Partner in Education gives companies a unique experience that helps our team of teachers, faculty, and staff continue to provide environments where our students can grow in wisdom, stature, and in favor with God and man!
